Resident Input Survey for Those Living and Working near the Long Prairie River Watershed
Do you live, work, or own land near the Long Prairie River? Planning for long term land use and natural resource protection for the Long Prairie River will begin in 2021. As a citizen in the county of Douglas, Morrison, Todd, Otter Tail, or Wadena, you may utilize your local Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) or Planning and Zoning offices for land use advice, permitting guidelines, or as a technical or funding resource. Together, these offices have been tasked with placing priorities on the natural resources and concerns in order to develop a future plan for the Long Prairie Watershed. Because you live in the region and utilize the land’s resources, you are critical to the input process. With resident knowledge base, we will be able to better develop a sensible long term plan that reflects the needs and concerns of our citizens. Your input matters. Which natural resources are most important to you? What do you, as a resident, care about, and which natural resource(s) should be addressed first?
