Todd County Health & Human Services’ mission is “People helping people through life’s challenges by maintaining integrity, providing education and sharing skills to empower individuals to their highest possible level of wellness.”
The department works collaboratively across its five units (Child Services, Community Health, Health Services, Financial Support Services and Administrative Services) to ensure our residents basic needs are met. Health & Human Services staff promote the dignity, safety and rights of our clients and strive to assist each client to attain self-sufficiency within their individual capabilities.
The department promotes public accountability and trust through responsible use of available resources. The HHS department is overseen by a five member Board of Commissioners. In addition, Health & Human Services is a member of a three-county Community Health Board with Morrison and Wadena Counties and is governed by a Joint Powers Agreement.
Todd County Health & Human Services Civil Rights/Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Plan
The Todd County Tobacco Sales & Access Ordinance has been updated to align with state and federal laws to raise the minimum legal age to purchase tobacco to age 21. The ordinance is available for public comment October 6-October 30, 2020. Please email David Determan at david.determan@co.todd.mn.us if you have revisions or feedback on the ordinance. The ordinance will have its first reading at the Todd County board meeting on October 20, 2020 at 9:30am. The second reading of the ordinance will occur at the Todd County board meeting on November 2, 2020 at 9:30am.
