A ceremony honoring west central MN Vietnam Veterans followed by a town hall meeting focused on improving VA health care services and benefits program is scheduled on March 19, at 5 pm., in the community room at Grand Arbor by Knute Nelson, 4403 Pioneer Rd. SE, in Alexandria, MN.The location of the event was previously announced as the Max J. If you are a recently discharged  veteran, you are eligible for immediate medical and dental benefits through the VA Health Care System. You have education benefits, home loans, and veterans preference available to you. Minnesota even grants 2 years of special hunting privileges. It is also a good idea to record your DD214 at the County for safekeeping.
Todd County has a veterans van that will take Veterans to their VA appointments. A volunteer driver drives the Veterans van to St Cloud VA Health Care on ODD days, Minneapolis VA Health Care on EVEN days, and Fargo VA Health Care on ODD days if needed. If you would like more information or would like to schedule a ride on the "Todd County Veterans Van,"  please call 320-732-4418.
