2021 TODD COUNTY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE #2 June 8th, 2021

(Please note that this schedule of work can and will change, but it gives a general idea of timing for work on these projects.  The projects are listed in the anticipated order that work will progress.  We will periodically give updates as the work is completed and schedules change.)

CSAH 14 (from U.S. Hwy. 71 in Browerville to the East County Line):

-Culvert pipe replacement work started the week of May 17th and will be finishing up this week by Friday, June 11th.

-Several segments of the roadway are planned to be reclaimed and bituminous paving completed to patch in the reclaimed segments including pipe replacement locations between June 16th and June 25th.

-The highway will continue to be closed to thru traffic with a detour in place while reclamation and initial paving work is completed.  Following completion of paver patching the reclaimed areas, we anticipate that road closure signs/barricades will be temporarily pulled to the side allowing thru traffic until the milling and final lift of paving work commences mid-July.

CSAH 25 and CSAH 29 (Miscellaneous Culvert Replacements):

-The culvert replacements described below are anticipated to start on Friday, June 11th with reclamation of the pavement and traffic control signs installed.  Excavation for the culvert replacements are planned during the week of June 14th to June 18th and progress in the order that they are described below:

  1. Two culvert pipes will be replaced on CSAH 29 between CSAH 30 and 270th Street.  A short-term road closure will be setup for these pipe replacements (no detour).
  • One culvert pipe will be replaced on CSAH 29 between TH 27 and CSAH 30.  A short-term road closure will be setup for this pipe replacement (no detour).
  • One culvert pipe will be replaced on CSAH 25 between CSAH 30 and CSAH 14.  A short-term road closure will be setup for this pipe replacement (no detour).

-Following completion of the culvert pipe replacements, the roadway will be paver patched.  Patching is anticipated to happen by the end of June.

CR 102 (between TH 28 and CSAH 13):

-One culvert pipe will be replaced on CR 102 between 305th Avenue and CSAH 13.  A short-term road closure will be setup for this pipe replacement (no detour).

-At this point it looks like culvert replacement work will happen during the week of June 21st to June 25th with paver patching completed by early July.

-Final bituminous overlay resurfacing of the pavement is anticipated to happen toward the end of July.

CSAH 5 (from TH 27 to 6th Avenue North in Long Prairie):

– No update at this time, work is still anticipated to start toward the end of July.

-The road will be open to traffic with flaggers during work to complete a mill and overlay resurfacing of the pavement.

CSAH 12 (from TH 287 in Long Prairie to TH 28 in Swanville):

-No update at this time, work is still anticipated to start here at the end of July and finish mid-August.
