Social Services - Child Care Licensing

Todd County Health and Human Services performs licensing duties on behalf of the Minnesota Department of Human Services for family child care, child foster care and adult foster care services.  Applicants must complete the required elements of the licensing process and meet the minimum standards of care and physical environment.  These standards are enforced to protect the health, safety and rights of persons receiving these services.

Child care orientation is a requirement for child care licensing and attendance is required at this three hour training. The orientation class is held in the lower level annex room, located at Todd County Health and Human Services, 212 Second Ave South, Long Prairie MN.  There is no charge for this orientation, please RSVP to 732-4530 or email: A current application must be received before attendance at an orientation session.
