2012 ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BEGINS OCTOBER 1, 2011.  Todd County Social Services Announces Assistance for Home Energy Bills.

People living in Todd County who have trouble paying home energy bills may be eligible for assistance through the Energy Assistance Program (EAP). The Energy Assistance Program is funded by the Minnesota Department of Commerce and the United States Department of Health & Human Services. People must meet income guidelines to be eligible for assistance.

The amount increases for each additional household member.     

The Minnesota Department of Commerce has mailed out applications to every household that received Energy Assistance from Todd County last year.

People who did not receive Energy Assistance from Todd County Social Services last year can call our office to have an application mailed out or can pick up an application at our office.

Energy Related Repair funds may be available for applicants that are eligible for Energy Assistance and they own their home and have a  malfunctioning furnace/heating system.

WHEN FEDERAL FUNDING IS RECEIVED FOR THIS PROGRAM, HOUSEHOLDS WILL BE NOTIFIED OF THEIR GRANT ELIGIBILITY.
