Farming in Tough Times Workshop

Cost: $10/person (includes lunch)

This workshop is for area dairy producers who may find themselves confronting various challenges as a result of the economic state of agriculture. Dairy producers from all size farms and stages of life are welcome to attend, as well as, farmers from any enterprise. Ag business professionals who work with producers are also welcome to attend. 

Topics & Speakers include:

Sandy Hanson-WolffAg Venture Feed & Seed and Rock Solid Motion will share her story of loss and growth, and how to get through the challenging time. 

Joleen Hadrich, U of M Extension Ag Economist will speak about managing non-revenue stream investments and low commodity prices.

Ted Matthews, Rural Mental Health Specialist will discuss maintaining your mental health in various stages of life. 

Producer Panel- Local producers will share their own experiences related to making decisions in challenging times, growing and diversifying their business, and exiting the business.
