With winter weather coming upon use it’s no time like the present to prepare for the enviable. During the week of November 14-18 Todd County Emergency Management will be posting different topics each day for you to learn and prepare for the winter.

Do you know what is predicted this winter?

On October 21, 2016 the Climate Prediction Center released their 2016-2017 Winter Outlook. CPC reported with high confidence we will see more snow than last winter (likely above normal as well). High confidence we will be colder than last winter (likely have temperatures within a degree of normal). So you may be asking. What is normal? According the CPC 18.2 degrees Fahrenheit is normal average temperature and snow fall amount average is 54.4 inches.
