Water Patrol

Deputy Phil Miller serves the Sheriff's Office as a Water Patrol Deputy.  He is responsible for patrolling Todd County Lakes, doing inspections of Resort watercraft, issuing raft permits, placing bouys in shallow/rocky areas and gives presentations on Boating and Water Safety.  Deputy Miller is very committed to the Water Patrol Program and attended a weeklong training put on by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources which dealt with Water Safety, Enforcement and other Water related issues.

Purpose:                          Preventing or reducing boating accidents & drownings and making Minnesota's waters safe & enjoyable. This includes boating law enforcement, aids to navigation, response to & investigation of boating accidents / drownings, search, rescue & recovery operations, permitting of events & temporary structures and rental boat inspections.
